In fact, at one of our farms there was a known Viking raid on a Saxon village, Sometime in the 8th/9th Centuries, The village was ransacked, There is also clues to the farm being the home of East Anglian King Aethelberht, A plaque from a book and most probably a Bible was found eye’s only by a farm worker in 1970, The plaque was made from bone and depicted the family arm’s (Wolf & Twins) of King Aethelberht, The East Anglian Royal house claimed descent from Caesar. Aethelberht also used the Wolf & Twins on the reverse of his coins. Aethelberht was beheaded by King Offa of Mercia in 794 A.D.
